I have watched a YouTube video where a group of Motoring journalists suggest that the 718 Cayman S is the best driving Porsche you can own. Having just driven the car, I think you would be hard pressed to find a car that more accurately defines what a true modern Sports car should be!

I like Caymans, with that mid-engined flat-6, long wheel base for the size of car, modern tech and more luggage space than you would expect, the Cayman covers a variety of roles, everything from Gentleman’s Grand Tourer, to daily driver to a track day machine that makes the driver look better than he or she really is and can put bigger more powerful cars to shame.

The GTS reintroduced naturally aspirated flat-six to the 718 and the 400 hp 4.0 litres turned the already exciting 718 into one of the quickest and sharpest Porsches that money could buy. With just 20 bhp less than a Track focused GT4 and with power arriving earlier in the rev range, made it capable of reaching 100 kph in 3 and a bit seconds.

Yes, this is an amazing car, especially when you consider it as a daily driver!

This particular car was ordered from Porsche Centre Willoughby and delivered in March 2021.
