The Porsche 997.2 Carrera marries timeless 911 styling with direct injection performance and modern reliability. This particular example was delivered new by Porsche Centre Sydney South, finished in Basalt Black over a Black interior, and presents in lovely condition throughout. The 997.2 is an all-time favourite amongst Porsche owners, the IMS issues were completely removed with a new engine family. Their launch coincided with the GFC, hence very few were sold over a short 2.5 year model window and they offer a more raw driving experience than their 991 successor.
Under the rear decklid sits a 3.6 L naturally aspirated flat six producing 254 kW (345 hp), paired with a 7 speed PDK transmission. The introduction of direct fuel injection in the 997.2 brings crisper throttle response, improved fuel economy, and stronger mid range torque compared to its predecessor. Its linear power delivery and iconic flat six soundtrack ensure every drive remains engaging.
Chassis and styling updates include revised front and rear bumpers, LED taillights, and an updated PCM infotainment system with Bluetooth phone and navigation. Hydraulic steering and a compact footprint deliver direct feedback and agility and the sport / sport plus settings give the gearbox a full range of shift settings from calm to manic.
