The start of the 997 was a really good time for Porsche. A new 3.8 litre version of their "flat six" engine, gave a top speed of over 300kph and a 0-100 of less than 5 seconds. Porsche A.G. were at the time the most profitable car producer on the planet and were happy to invest in their cars. The quality of the 997 really showed this!

The Carrera S came with 19" wheels, Li-Tronic head lights and P.A.S.M. adjustable suspension as standard. This lovely 997 Carrera S was sold new by Porsche Centre Brisbane in March 2005. It is finished in Atlas Grey Metallic. The 997 was universally loved when it arrived and in S form it was the pick of the bunch. With 355HP, 20mm lower ride height, adjustable dampers ( comfort & sport ), larger red callipers, BOSE sound and silver interior trim there was a lot to like.

This car is fitted with Porsches Millennial Anti-theft device, better known Porsche’s 6 Speed manual transmission which is a joy to use and puts you in charge when the road clears for a bit of spirited fun. This car is in great condition inside and out ,there are none of the usual 997 sticky / peeling buttons here and the rest of the interior is really good condition for a car of this age. We have also been looking after this car for the last 6 years, so know it very well!

It just had the Major 4 yearly Service, a set of brand-new Michelin tyres, a modern in-car entertainment system, uprated suspension and a full Pre-purchase inspection report from Sydney’s leading Porsche specialist, which will be made available.

• IMS ?? By the time Porsche built this car Porsche A.G. had changed their manufacturing process to address the IMS issue ( that had affected some of their earlier cars ); so, owners can enjoy them without sleepless nights.
• Bore scoring ?? We have done an internal bore scope check of this engine and can confirm no evidence of bore scoring.
• 144,000 kms ?? We have also done a compression test and a top end Leak down test, to ensure the mechanical integrity of this engine. The Comp and leak down numbers are excellent, again confirming no scoring or excessive engine wear.

It comes with all its original books and 2 x upgraded keys. So, if you are looking for a really well sorted, good value Porsche, either as a daily driver or as something for special occasions, then this could be it !!
