Delivered by Chellingworth Motors ( Porsche Centre Perth ) in May 2004 this 996.2 GT3 would have been on of the very first 2nd Generation GT3s as a 996.2. Looking at the vehicle specification, it would been one of the last of the production run, where Porsche traditionally allow the ordering of more Exclusive options.

The 996 GT3 needs no introduction, born from the 1996 water-cooled GT1 it's heritage is beyond question.

The GT3 was a revelation when it first arrived, in a time when other manufacturers were adding all manner of electronic driving aids to their cars, Porsche introduced the GT3 with ABS and a limited-slip diff, that was it. So if you want involvement and driver engagement, these GT cars are superb.

Both this 996.2 GT3 and the 996 GT3 RS enjoy the same 306 litre flat-six which is full of titanium components which help theses engines spin up to 8,200 rpm and sound amazing and propel you to 100kph in only 4.3 seconds which was amazing in 2004.

The car we have here is a Generation 2 996 GT3, 1 of 39 sold new in Australia and as Porsche typically does, they made it that much better than the previous generation. The main items of note were a more powerful (385HP) higher-revving engine due to lighter more exotic internals, better aero, stronger gearbox internals and larger brakes.
This car is finished in Arctic Silver with full black leather interior and Exclusive contrasting Dials and stitching as ordered from the factory, which Sports Seats and the lowing of those seat.

In preparation for sale, we have just completed a major service, Filters, spark plug, Brake fluid flush a full Pre-purchse inspection making sure that this car is ready for the next Porsche enthusiast.

it comes with all its original books original keys, loads of invoices and a file of information and history which tells the story and give this car real provenance.
