This Turbo was first delivered by Porsche Centre Melbourne in April 2004 and remained there with the first 2 owners for the next 17 years! The 3rd owner spent some considerable time tracking this car down! He said he wanted to find the best, low milage and most original Porsche Turbo that he could find! We have been looking after this car since he bought it 3 years ago and would agree that this is certainly a good one.

The 996 Turbo with its 420 bhp and 0 to 100 kph time of 4.0 seconds and top speed of over 305 kph is a seriously quick supercar by anyone's standards. It's also the best value Porsche supercar today, being half the price of a 993 Turbo and able to run rings around it in every way.
The 996 Turbo also has its engine derived from Porsches Le Mans program of the late 90s so it was built to last and the Metzger unit as they are known does just that. Being from the motorsport family it does not have any of the IMS issues that the 996 Carrera is susceptible to either.

This particular car is in lovely condition and comes with some great options which include, xenon lights, full leather interior, navigation, silver dials, BOSE, and factory hardtop.

Being a convertible it also offers the best of both worlds, these are not like convertibles of old that leaked, rattled and gave you a headache with wind noise. They are near coupe like in their driving qualities, so if you have always thought of a convertible but not quite been convinced it is definitely worth a drive to see just how good they are.

As mentioned above, we know this car well. We have carried out all this years Porsche service and completed our rigorous mechanical inspection prior to sale, confirming that it is ready for its 3rd owner.

This was the first time that Porsche had sold any version of 911 Turbo as a convertible, in Australia! ( Porsche didn't produce 930s in convertible until the end of the 1980s and by then Australia moved to unleaded fuel meant that we didn't receive 930s after 1985 ) They were only launched in 2004 and only sold in a very limited allocation! They are very rare, very fast and very collectable! They also represent a breathtaking, roof down motoring experience!
