This 993 Carrera S was first sold and delivered by York Motors Sydney ( Now Porsche Centre Sydney South ) in December 1996 and from the service books appears to have had just a handful of owners over the years.
As confirmed by Porsche Cars Australia it is still in its original matching numbers format and order specification of Ocean Blue Metallic with Blue leather interior.
Here we have arguably the most collectible of all 993's , notwithstanding the generally unobtainable like the Turbo S's and RS's.
The 993 Carrera S was essentially offered for less than one model year only -1997, meaning they were sold in limited volumes. In fact, only 95 of these beautiful cars we originally brought to Australia, making them very collectable cars.
The S was sold in both Tiptronic and Manual form. The S was only offered with the last version of Porsches air-cooled engine, commonly referred to as the 'Varioram' unit with 285HP, Also specific to the S was the wider rear arches and front and rear bumpers from the 993 Turbo. 18' Turbo look wheels were an option along with Carrera S unique handbrake lever and gear knob and lastly a two-piece S only engine lid grille was fitted.
This one is fitted with Porsche's ultra reliable Tiptronic, so its an easy to drive classic car, no chance of engine over-revs, clutch wear and virtually maintenance free.
Service history is excellent with Porsche Centers and well known Porsche specialists doing the work and beautifully recorded. .
It has just had a full Pre-purchase inspection preformed by Sydney's leading Porsche specialist, so its ready to go for its next owner.
Both keys, the original book, service history, original Porsche radio and an accompanying file of invoices and documented history.
