This 911 Carrera 3.2 was first delivered from Hamiltons of South Yarra ( now Porsche Centre Melbourne ) in August of 1987, as one of the first Porsche 911s to arrive with the new hydraulic clutch and new G50 gearbox.
Matching numbers, original Granite Green metallic over Grey Green leather seats, factory 16' wheels and spoilers, it looks as good as it did some 39 years ago!
It has been hiding away, until very recently in a private collection, with only the rarest of occasional drives! We haven't needed to detail it or even wash it before we took the photos you see on this website. This is a very clean example!
We have a large file plotting service history from new to the current day. The car has recently been retrimmed in original Porsche leather, had a "Top End" rebuild in December of 2010, Targa roof retrimmed in original materials at the end of 2025 during its most recent service.
The G-Series Porsche are a wonderful car to own and enjoy. Simple but well engineered. They share a very traditional design with early Porsche ( think torsion bar suspension, air-cooled engine, fantastically simple steering ) and a really analogue driving experience! They are a car that you can drive or store in the Garage for months, then fire it up for that Cars and Coffee event or early morning drive!
We are moving into the best time of year for owning a Targa. Driving a 911 Targa offers a vintage analog driving, iconic "air-cooled" sound and open-air is a really special experience. Roof off running down to your favorite beach or through a National Park, is so much fun.
